Objection: “Because if one examines it, there is a conjecture immediately afterward, for that reason the term ‘hypothetical reasoning’ exists.362 Because that exists, others are established as well.” If one says this, it is to be replied:

VP 50 Hypothetical reasoning is also like doubt.

Why is that? Is a known object analyzed, or is an unknown object analyzed? In regard to that, if it is a known object, what is analyzed? Or otherwise, if it is an unknown object, what is analyzed in that case? There is no third alternative.
